Abstract

يتربع إقليم توات بمناطقه الثلاث (قورارة، توات الوسطى، وتيديكلت على مساحة واسعة من الجنوب الغربي الجزائري، وقد شهد منذ القرن الثاني عشر الميلادي استقرار الهجرات البشرية ونزوح عدداً من علماء تلمسان وفاس، وشهد بدءً من القرن الرابع عشر الميلادي ازدهاراً حضارياً. من بين العلماء الذين أسهموا إسهاماً واضحاً على الحياة العلمية في منطقة توات الشيخ مولاي احمد الطاهري الإدريسي الحسني. خرج هذا الأخير من تمبكتو في السادس والخمسين وثلاثمائة والألف من الهجرة (1356هـ)، رفقة جماعة متوجهين إلى الصحراء، وانتهى به المطاف إلى منطقة توات فكان أول ما دخل إلى منطقة رقان ثم منها إلى سالي حيث أسس بها مدرسته القرآنية وبدأ نشاطه العلمي فيها، حيث أصبحت المنطقة في عهده مقصدا ومزارا الطلاب العلم من داخل الوطن وخارجه The province of Twatt, with its three regions (Gourara, Tout, and Tidekelt), covers a large area of the Algerian south-west.
