Abstract

طه عبد الرحمن يمثل إحدى أيقونات الفكر الإسلامي المعاصر في مجال التجديد وإعادة النظر في مكونات الفكر الإسلامي، وخصوصًا علم الكلام، الذي يعنى بأصول الدين وآلياته الاستدلالية والنقدية. ينطلق عبد الرحمن من ضرورة تقييم التراث من داخله قبل مقارنته بالآخر، محافظًا على جذوره دون الانغلاق عليه، معتمداً على المنهج الاستدلالي المناظراتي لتجديد المضمون الكلامي بما يواكب روح العصر. ويرى أن تجديد الفكر الإسلامي لا يكتمل إلا بتجديد العقلانية نفسها، من خلال إعادة النظر في آلياتها واستدلالاتها، مع إبراز تنوع العقلانيات وعدم اقتصارها على شكل واحد. وقد تجلت تطبيقات هذا التجديد في أعماله الأخيرة، خاصة في نقد الحضارة الغربية ومواجهة التعجرف المعرفي، مؤكدًا على حق الفكر الإسلامي والعربي في الاختلاف والتجديد مع الحفاظ على روح التراث. Taha Abderrahman is a prominent figure in contemporary Islamic thought, particularly in renewing and reassessing Islamic intellectual heritage, with a focus on Kalam (Islamic theology). He emphasizes that any tradition must evaluate itself from within before engaging with external frameworks, preserving its roots while avoiding insularity. Through a dialectical and inferential methodology, he seeks to revitalize theological content in a way compatible with modernity. Abderrahman also advocates for renewing rationality itself, highlighting its plural and dynamic nature rather than a single fixed model. His recent works illustrate this approach, especially in critiquing Western civilization and affirming the Islamic and Arab right to intellectual independence, while remaining faithful to the spirit of tradition.
