الزوايا في الجزائر بين إرث التاريخ الاستعماري و ضرورة الإصلاح و التجديد

Abstract

لم تنس إدارة الاستدمار الفرنسي في الجزائر للزوايا موقفها الرافض لوجوده، وتزعمها لأكثر المقاومات الشعبية، فعملت على تشتيتها وهدمها ومصادرة أملاكها، كما انتهج مع بعضها سياسة الاختراق من الداخل، مما أدى إلى تدجينها واحتوائها. بل إنّ بعض الزوايا لم يكتف بمجرد الوقوف مع الاحتلال؛ بل صار من المدافعين على وجوده وسياساته المدمرة بالجزائر. بعد الاستقلال لم ترجع مؤسسة الزوايا إلى سابق عهدها المشرق، فصار لابد من إعادة النظر في بعث رسالة الزوايا وإصلاح برامجها الدينية والتربوية، لاستعادة دورها الريادي في الإصلاح الاجتماعي والثقافي. Abstract After the French occupation to Algeria, Religious orders known as ‘Zawiyas’, having a major influence, were to play a prominent role during the first years resistance to the colonial onslaught. After the definitive victory of France, however, some religious orders suffered an overall decline because of their consistent attitudes against the colonizer whereas others started playing the very role formulated for them by the colonialists. For them, the colonial fact was destined to be, and was thus the expression of the will of God. After independence, however, it is of prime importance to rehabilitate the influence of ‘Zawiyas’ in their spiritual, religious, social functions and also educational efficiency.
