يعتبر الأمن الغدائي والأمن البيئي أهم مشاكل هذا العصر، فقد تنبه الإنسان إلى خطورة فقدان كل منهما وعلاقتهما ببعضهما، بعد أن أنهكت العالم الحروب والمشاكل البيئية المختلفة جراء سوء تصرف الإنسان وسعيه للتطور والتنافس ما أثر على البيئة بكل عناصرها، لذا سارع المجتمع الدولي إلى محاولة توحيد الأصوات للحفاظ على ما تبقى وتوفير الأمن الغدائي للشعوب وهو حاليا في صراع حول محاولة تحقيق هذه المكاسب رغم العوائق الكبيرة التي تواجهه الداخلية والدولية The security of food and environmental security is the most important problem of this age.
